There have been some feedback pointing out “mistakes” in the PCB calculations. We wish to reiterate that the PCB calculations of this software are accurate and will give exactly the same result as that derived from LHDN’s Online PCB calculator.
It is true though that the calculated PCB values derived by some users are not correct, but not because of wrong calculations. The real reason is because the settings of the allowances and deductions are wrong.
To correct this problem, a new post has been made in the documentation giving a detailed explanation of how to set up Allowance, Deduction and Benefit in Kind items. The article can be found at : http://actpayroll.com/kb/setting-allowance-deduction-codes/
Also, in updating Actpay to 2015, we accidentally deleted the table of allowances / deductions. We are not able to provide this table in the software, but we will do the next best thing by providing a, Excel file with the table. Please download it here.
Please note that these settings are based on our understanding of how these items are used in payroll calculations. Although the settings are not wrong, other may interpret these settings differently. Please change as required.
